I sometimes have outrageously cool ideas. But as it goes with outrageously cool ideas, they die. Except for two percent of them, I guess. My layout, wornly retroish Jamaican style was an idea. I had this album and though it would be outrageously cool to make a layout inspired by that. Well, that worked out. But there are things that blow your fucking mind. And they die. Why?
For example, I’ve been wanting to meet someone for a couple of weeks now (you know who you are). But a subtle problem is present. I have to take two trains, an airplane and a hotel just for a two days’ visit. Ballparked at €220,-. Not funny. Debunk!
Another example. I’ve been wanting to recode my school’s site. It’s inaccessible as hell. Now,
I said to myself, do this and sell it to the school.
But obviously, what school wants to pay an ‘amateur’ big bucks for a design they ‘don’t need’ (honestly, they’ll say that)? Debunk!
Last example for now: I want a Mac. Expensive. Debunk!
What is this with me? Anyone experienced this very problem with money before? (Oh, I’m just a student, so it could be me…)
It seems Safari 1.0.3 (Mac OS X 10.2.8) doesn’t support application/xhtml+xml. What a surprise! Is it any better in 1.2? (Yes, I’m aware of the fact that it doesn’t get XSLT etc.)
Four stars of the film took their own lives shortly after shooting was completed: John Reynolds (Torgo), Diane Mahree (Margaret), Joyce Molleur (Makeout Girl) and Sherry Proctor (one of the Master’s wives).
‘Manos’ the Hands of Fate trivia
‘Manos’ the Hands of Fate is ranked fourth on the bottom 100 on the IMDb. In my opinion, that’s an understatement. Not even SuperBabies: Baby Geniuses 2 is worse than this. Honestly.
The plot itself is somewhat horrorish, but by no means succeeds to scare people. I’ve tried to look at this plot summary, but it just scares me. Also, the fact that they tried to make it as low budget as possible is just a bad way of making movies. And of course, what plot can make a movie so bad four people (actors!) commit suicide?
A family on vacation in the desert takes a wrong turn and ends up in an old dark house run by the creepy Torgo, who says he takes care of the place while The Master is away. As night falls the family is menaced by The Master and his wives, a supernatural cult that worships the evil deity known as Manos.
Plot Summary for ‘Manos’ the Hands of Fate
Oh, there’s one little thing that should not be forgotten. Hal Warren, the director, didn’t live to enjoy its glory. Died of Leukemia just a couple of weeks after someone discovered his infamous film “Manos: the Hands of Fate”. He tried to deny the existence of the film for a long time.

(Please note that I got my information from Geert and the IMDb. Rumours say it’s not completely true… But that’s up to you to decide.)
Edited some sentences as Mathias found it a bit too hard to understand. Should be okay now!
